Ingredients
- 1 piece of chicken breast
- 1 clove of garlic
- Red pepper powder
- 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Olive oil (as needed)
- 1 spring onion
- 1 handful of lettuce
- 1 cucumber
- 1 tomato or 7 cherry tomatoes
Cooking Instructions
- Mix red pepper powder, black pepper, salt, honey, lemon juice, and minced garlic together, then evenly coat the chicken breast with this mixture for marination.
- Prepare the vegetables. Chop the spring onion, wash and cut the lettuce into pieces, cut the tomato into chunks (or halve the cherry tomatoes), and slice the cucumber. Place all the vegetables into a salad bowl.
- Heat a small amount of oil in a pan and pan-fry the marinated chicken breast over low heat until both sides turn golden brown with a slight char.
- Pay attention to the cooking time of the chicken breast. To ensure it’s cooked through, gently press the chicken with a spatula – properly cooked chicken will feel firm without any rawness in the center. Add a small amount of water while cooking to prevent dryness if needed.
- Once the chicken is cooked, cut it into strips about 1 centimeter wide from the thinner end and halve it horizontally through the thicker part. This ensures uniform thickness of the chicken strips. Add them to the salad bowl.
- Add olive oil, lemon juice, honey, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
